Russ Clifford, PT, provides one-on-one physical therapy in the comfort of your own home throughout St. Petersburg, Florida, including areas approximately 20 to 30 minutes from downtown. Each visit is dedicated exclusively to you.
The location to give him is the home where the patient will be during the visit. A family member or a friend can make the call, and the address that matters is still the patient's. Give him the location and ask whether he comes to that home.
Once he says the address is one he covers, ask which part of the home he would use and whether anything in that space needs to be moved before he arrives. Those details are settled in the conversation, and they are what you use to set the room for the day he comes.
Because each visit is one-on-one, it is not double-booked, and a second patient is not placed in that same visit. When the time is set, ask him to confirm that he is the therapist who will arrive and that the appointment is for a single patient. If two people in the household want to be seen, ask whether each person would be scheduled as a separate visit.
The work he does at the house is drawn from five treatments the practice lists: tailored exercise, manual therapy, Astym, dry needling, and photobiomodulation, which the practice also calls laser. A given visit can include one of those or more than one. On the call, name the ones you want to understand and ask which of them this visit would include.
Tailored exercise means the movements are chosen for that patient. During the visit, that patient practices the movements at home with Russ present. Ask which movements he would choose for this person, and whether you would go through them with him in the room. From the movements he names, you can tell him whether you want them in the visit.
Manual therapy means treatment done with his hands. That hands-on work takes place in the home, as part of the visit. Ask whether this visit would include it. If exercise is also under discussion, ask whether the hands-on work and the exercise would happen in the same session, so you know how he would use the time at the house.
Astym is listed under that name. If you have seen the word and want it in ordinary language, ask Russ what he does when Astym is part of a visit, and ask whether he would include it in this one.
Dry needling is the treatment on the list that uses needles. If you want needles settled before anyone comes to the house, ask whether this visit would include them, and ask what that portion of the time at home would involve. You can want the rest of the visit and still say you are unsure about needles. His answer tells you whether needles are in the visit he is offering.
Photobiomodulation is the remaining treatment, and the practice also calls it laser. The two words refer to the same listed treatment. Ask whether this visit would include it, and ask how he would do that part at the patient's home. Use whichever of the two words you already know. He can answer with the wording he uses with patients.
After he has said which treatments this visit would include, ask how long he would be at the home, and hold that stretch of the day. You can also ask whether anything needs to be on hand in the room.
There is no online booking and no store, so a visit is requested in conversation. The phone number is 727-776-1471, and the email is russclifford@afterallcarept.com. Have the patient's address with you when you call or write, and ask for a day and a time he can come. The visit goes on the calendar when he agrees to that time.
Payment belongs in that same conversation. AfterAllCare accepts Medicare, select commercial insurance, and cash-pay. Ask which of those he would use for this visit. If a commercial plan is the one you hope to use, have the plan's name ready so he can say whether that plan is one he accepts. If cash-pay is the path you are considering, ask him what the visit would cost.
