A home visit with Russ Clifford, PT, at AfterAllCare is arranged inside posted weekday hours. Monday is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. He is the treating therapist. He comes to the patient's home in St. Petersburg, Florida, about 20 to 30 minutes from downtown.
There is no online booking, so a time on that schedule becomes an appointment only after he agrees to it. There is no store, so the arrangement is that conversation. The phone number is 727-776-1471, and the email is russclifford@afterallcarept.com. Either one starts the request. Until he confirms a day and a time, nothing is held.
When you ask for a time, give the patient's home and ask whether he comes to that address. If you are arranging the visit for someone else, the address you give is the patient's home, the place where he would see that person.
Name the day you want, chosen so it falls inside the hours above, and ask whether he can come then. Ask him to say the day and the time back in the same conversation, so both of you are holding the same appointment. Also ask how soon he could come, and use his answer as the earliest day worth naming.
The visit is one-on-one, and it is not double-booked. The time you request is for one patient. A second patient is not booked into that same visit. If two people in the household need to be seen, ask for two separate times. Ask him to confirm that the time under discussion is with him.
Ask how long he would need at the home once a day is under discussion. The answer tells you how much of that day to hold. You can then ask whether the time you want still fits the posted hours for that day, given the length he described.
While you are asking for the time, tell him which treatments you want to discuss, so he can say whether this visit would include them. The practice lists tailored exercise, manual therapy, Astym, dry needling, and photobiomodulation, also called laser. Tailored exercise means movements chosen for that patient and practiced while he is in the home. Manual therapy means treatment with his hands. Astym is the treatment under that name, and you can ask what he would do if the visit includes it. Dry needling uses needles, so say if you need to know whether needles are part of the time you are requesting. Laser and photobiomodulation name the same listed treatment. A visit can include one of these or more than one, and he can say which ones would fall inside the time you are asking for.
AfterAllCare accepts Medicare, select commercial insurance, and cash-pay. Ask which of those he would use for this visit. If more than one path might apply to the same patient, ask which path he would use.
Medicare is an accepted way to pay. A person using Medicare can ask how a visit would be billed and what he needs from the patient before the visit. Put those questions on the same call as the time, so billing and the day are decided together.
Select commercial insurance means some commercial plans are accepted. The plan names are not printed with the hours. Say the insurer and the plan name, and ask whether that plan is one he accepts. Have the card or the plan name in front of you during the call so the question is about that plan.
Cash-pay means the patient pays the practice directly. Ask the amount if that is the path under consideration, and ask it before you agree to the day. No price is listed alongside the payment methods.
An email can carry the request when a call is inconvenient. Include the patient's home, the day you hope to use, the payment path you want to ask about, and a phone number where he can reply. If a commercial plan is involved, put the plan name in the message. He still has to agree to the time. The message itself does not hold the appointment.
If you need a different day from the one you first asked about, ask which day inside the posted hours he can come. Settle the payment path for that day in the same exchange when it is still open, including a commercial plan he has not yet answered on, or a cash-pay amount he has not yet given.
